Following Maria Skłodowska – Curie’s footsteps in Warsaw

On October 27, Year 4 to 5 primary school students went on a trip to Warsaw with the aim to follow traces of Maria Skłodowska – Curie’s discoveries who is two-time Nobel Prize laureate and the patron of our school.
The students visited the Maria Skłodowska – Curie Museum of Polish Chemical Society, where we learnt about the roots, biography and achievements of the Nobel Prize lauteate. The students also took part in chemical workshops where they had a chance to study the phenomenon of radioactivity of different elements.
The main attraction was a visit to the Copernicus Science Center, where students had a wide choice of over 400 experiments to be do. Everyone had opportunity to expand their knowledge or acquire new skills in natural sciences.
